Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer (2,700 cases are diagnosed annually in New Zealand).  It is estimated that the lifetime risk of clinical cancer is approximately 8 to 10 per cent.

Prostate cancer is extremely rare under 45 (<1% of cases) and its incidence increases with increasing age.
